The word of God was written to give the world hope
With precious scriptures teaching us how to cope
Unbelievers want to destroy God’s word so dear
To believers His word is treasured more each year.

In many countries this book is forbidden to be sold
To underground Christians this book is pure gold
Reading the word of God will keep us strong
Living by His word is never wrong.



The scriptures tell about Jesus who lives
With loving grace our sins to forgive
And to open our hearts and Him receive
Yes, today people still refuse to believe.

Never forget the word of God is the light
Shining brightly in the darkest night
His word tells us that if we trust and obey
He will return for us one glorious day.
