I kneel and pray
I'm willing to obey
I am a sinner
And want to be a winner
I ask forgiveness
For Him to bless
Guide me with His light
And keep me from all plights
God is my Father
And is my Teacher
If I just turn
To Him I learn
Read His Bible
Learn from example
Keep His Commandments
And His Sacraments
In loving peace
Sins will cease
If I just try
To comply
No matter how hard
Don't let down my guard
And evildoers
Will always lure us
His angels protect
With all respect
They try to guide
And are beside
But with free will
We try to fulfill
His will be done
We have begun
Each new day
Take time to pray
Before His throne
I will atone
