I like to waken on a morning
To all that's sweet and new
And that's the time I pray
And think soft thoughts of you



I like to hear the birds in tune
And listen for their call
To know God's always very near
And watching over all



I like to start my day with Him
And wonder how you are
If you have sent a message
Your loving to impart



And then I rise, to thank the Lord
For another lovely day
To find more of His life
In all that comes my way
