Jesus was God's beloved son
Sent down to earth from above
Leaving His heavenly home
To show God's great love.
Jesus came to save us from sin
His mission was to teach God's word
He was feared and hated by some men
And they made plans to destroy Him.
In the garden of Gethsemane
Jesus went alone to pray
Knowing He would be betrayed
The very next day.
Jesus prayed, Take this cup from me
All things are possible with Thee
Father, not my will, I pray,
But "Thy will be done".
