~ Forever Always In My Dream ~

I had a lovely dream of you upon the aisle
A picture of sweet innocence,
My heart welling up with emotion
In the choosing of your wedding dress.

With love, I folded, tacked and formed
And imagined how you'd wear your hair,
Nurturing inspirational tenderness
Sometimes making blunders to repair.



I embroidered long with meticulous detail
Pearls in delicate folds of lace,
To cherish only one delight
The sweetness of your lovely face.

For as you glided, more I dreamt,
Than embossing tulle, roses at your waist,
Or sparkles in your billowing skirt
For how you glowed with sweetest grace.



I pictured beauty in your twinkly glance
And pondered, on all that put it there,
As my heart returned to years before
When you were starting out so fair.

How all the qualities of womanhood
Began so long ago,
In all the happy days of childhood
That you always treasured so.



The laughter that came so naturally
Delighting in such simple fun,
All the ways you cared for others
Just like a little mum.

Gentle was your tender heart
With careful choice of words to say,
Always loyal to a friend
For God's way you would obey.



Nurtured by God's love within
I watched your inner beauty grow
Your faith was tested over time,
For His tender grace to glow.

He knew what challenges to bring
For His character to shine,
To fashion your heart of loveliness
For this celebration time.



I dreamt of you gliding down the aisle
Now resplendent in God's wedding dress,
I am so grateful sweetheart,
for the years we had to share...

By your life, I've been so very richly blessed.
