I close my eyes and what I see
Are memories of long ago
When winter time meant beautiful snow
And ice cycles all aglow.
Build a great big snow man
Stand back and look with glee
Those were the most wonderful days
Still mean so much to me.
A fire in the fire place
Aroma of home made bread
A home so full of family love
And night of fun ahead.
Playing games and reading books
A cozy and special time
I love the memories that I have
That wonderful childhood of mine.
Today when I reminisce
I thank the Lord above
For the precious Winter Memories
Day's gone by I'll always love.
