Bitter cold winds are now slicing through
Swirling snowflakes on the ground
Freezing temperatures are the norm
Old Man Winter is around.
The wind is emitting a howling sound
His bitterness our way he sends
The trees are beginning to creak and moan
As you struggle against the wind.
The crunching of footsteps as you walk
Your breath freezes in the air
Numbness you feel in your feet
Old Man Winter doesn't seem to care.
He blows his cold wind much harder
It's you he wants to make kneel
He'll leave you shivering and shuddering
You'll no longer be able to feel.
Ice pellets begin to fall from the sky
You're looking through a haze
This icy, bitter, cold surrounding
His anger has been raised.
His grip will become much stronger
For months he plans to stay
Creating a world only he can love
Old Man Winter will rule these days.
