Our World Today
We all ultimately want peace!
Yet there are people who don't,
Why?
When people finish their jobs
they go home to feel safe,
because at least there is refuge.
In our own neighborhood some
don't get along, and why?
One would think that if everyone
was happy, they would want
to have peace. Whether in our
neighborhood, city, state or country.
Yet there are those who must
feel superior, and more in control.
Instead of just plain getting
along with others. Irregardless
of race, religion or nationality.
One world, one tribe named
humans. This world is everyone's
country, is it not? Why not?
People fight over land, money,
jewels isn't that called jealousy?
This is God's world, and it doesn't
belong to any of us. God gave His
Commandments, and Jesus gave us one.
Love one another as I have loved you!
Simple, yes! Yet man is so complicated, why?
No one should care what race, religion or
nationality anyone is. Why?
If a person doesn't like someone why not
stay away from them. They don't need to
know you dislike them, and they shouldn't
even care. After all they have their own
family, and friends. We all have likes and dislikes!
But to want to destroy what God made is a sin.
It is a sin to kill yourself, for whatever the reason.
Isn't it easier to love than hate? Think about this
Meditate on it, pray about it, and maybe just maybe
we'll have a more loving world. I didn't write this to
Preach. I wrote it because it is in the Holy Bible.
When Jesus was here, he taught people by parable.
Taught us the most simple prayer, Our Father!
Yet man continues to fuss about things.
Money, ownership, countries, we don't own
this planet. God does! We are simply His guest
and He wants us to be happy, keep the laws, prosper,
and enjoy life. Yet man continues to fight over land,
countries, religion, and race. Why?
We are all one nation, one people, one blood.
There are so many parts of the Bible I could quote,
but I am just writing what I am inspired to write.
People know how to read, if they only want to!
We can all help, starting with one person at a time.
Love our neighbors, treat all people with respect.
Put people before money if a poor person is asking,
give him what he needs if only directions to the
nearest Mission. Volunteer if you can, help at church.
Many churches make things for the poor. Or a Senior
Center, remember one day you will be one too! If you
are so busy working and have a family teach your
children how to help out an older neighbor if only
going to the store or rake the leaves and shovel snow.

Poetry by Joyce
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you;
not as the world giveth, give I unto you.
Let not your heart be troubled, neither
let it be afraid.
John 14:27
