When walking a confusing path
It is very hard to yield-
Surrender to the Father
In the agony we feel.

We cannot comprehend
Why He should have it thus-
That life hold such upheaval
So His way we strain to trust.



But, that's the place that we can start
Believe that He is love-
And He has a greater plan
Directed from above.

For the picture is much bigger
Than the one our eyes can see-
And the peace will only come
If this we will believe.



We cannot know the answers
To the questions that we ask-
And when we do not understand
Is the very time to trust His heart.

For He's the only One with power
To grant us needed strength-
In the pain and hurt and sorrow
He is our dearest Friend.



Thus, we might not fight The One
We need when all is lost-
For in the darkness of the night
His love will help us most.

God, using His word and His wisdom.

When you lose other enjoyments,

satisfying comfort to you,
that you have God left.
