A Longing
How I long to see my Jesus face
To be held in His embrace;
When I cross the swelling tide,
I'll sit with Jesus and forever abide.
At Calvary He redeemed me
He arose again and sealed my pardon;
Someday the gates will swing open wide,
In His sweet presence I will abide.
Through all the toils and trials here
I'll walk and talk with my Jesus,
Until I cross the swelling tide,
Then at His feet I will abide.
Someday I'll see His lovely face
And feel the warmth of His embrace;
I'll listen to His sweet voice,
Some sweet day, I will rejoice.
I'm going to a land beyond the sky
There'll be no death or sad good bye's,
I'm going home to live with Jesus,
With Him forever I will abide.

Hebrews 2:9 (KJV)
But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower
than the angels for the suffering of death,
crowned with glory and honour; that he by
the grace of God should taste death for every man.
