I stood on the bank of the river
Watching the clear water flow
An angel appeared above the bridge
And said, God created this river, you know.

I am your angel, she whispered to me
Look at the beautiful flowers
Blowing so gently in the breeze
God created everything that you see.
As I looked at her, I felt very humble
That God gave me this gift so divine
Blessing me with my very own angel
So beautiful, lovable and kind.

She smiled and I felt peace in my heart
Tears came to my eyes at her gentle touch
It was then I knew my angel came from above
Thank You God, for my angel, your gift of love.
