Why do we ever get so lonely
When God is by our side,
Yet, as we are made human,
Great needs of life abide.

For a loneliness will come
When life appears too hard
We long for one to understand
And love us from the heart.



So, if you're feeling lonely
And burdened down with care,
Just longing for a friend
With whom you'd like to share.

Then, don't be feeling guilty
That your soul is overwhelmed,
Just take it to the Lord in prayer
For comfort He will send.



Keep reading all God's promises
Of His great love for you,
He'll be a friend, maybe send a friend
Who will be good and true.

Then, most of all don't panic
Our God is in control,
Believe each day He loves you
And wants you to be whole.
