What could we pay, for His love divine
all the gold this world could hold?
It would only be a small amount
for the price He paid for our soul.



All the money that we could ever save
if we worked till we were old and gray.
And saved every dime, till the end of time
it could never be enough to pay.



If we could unearth every diamond there is
and lay them every one at His feet.
They could never atone for one sin alone
or pay for His love so sweet.



If we should gain the world for our own
how foolish and lost we would be.
If we should neglect to give Him our hearts
when He offers His love to us free.
