I hear the birds,
Yes, I hear what they say:
Jesus is with me
Every step of the way.
I hear the wind blowing
Through trees of green,
Whispering of treasures
Eternal and unseen.
I see the sun shining
Beautiful and bright,
Reminding me He smiles
On me day and night.
Yes, the birds and the sun,
The sky and the trees,
The rain and the snow,
The flowers and the breeze,
All remind me
Of my Jesus, my King;
They remind He is all,
He is my everything.
So I join the birds,
The trees, the flowers,
The snowflakes and sunshine,
The gentle rain showers
In giving praise
To our One, our All,
In thanking Jesus for each blessing
Big and small.
He is our sunshine,
He is our eternal light;
Everything we enjoy
By His grace and might.
He is all that is,
All that has been,
In Him we have treasures
Infinite and unseen.
Yes, He is our life, our love,
Our path, our way...
I hear this in the birds’ song
In the break of day!
