He gives us food
Isn't He good?
Grains, herbs and meat
To relish as we eat.
He forgives our sins
Giving a heart clean
Keeps us healthy and strong
And gives a brand new song.
He sends us beautiful music
In days bland and bleak
Dispelling our doubts and despair
Causing our weary hearts to cheer.
He guards us from the evil brood
Isn't He good?
Rescues from the grave
God mighty to save.
He renews our youth
And all our pains He soothes
With mercy and love unfailing
Carries us on eagle's wings.
In His presence is joy
With pleasures that never cloy
For God is good all the time
So let His praises chime!
O give thanks unto the Lord;
for He is good:for his mercy endureth forever.
