~ A Lesson from my Little Clock ~
Every morning in bed I lie
I wake, I hear tic toc, tic toc.
I raise my head, I listen
Tis only my faithful little clock.
Though faint the sound, the message is clear
The night's most past, dawn is near
Tis time to rise and face the day
Prepare myself for work or play
I raise my hand to Heavenward,
Thank God for watch care thro' the night
Ask Him to help me through the day,
To walk by faith and not by sight.
For faith in Him will see me through
The perils of the day
help me bless my fellowman who has
Fallen by the way-
If i put aside selfish desire
Envy, strife or jealousy
help the weak, lift them up
Then favor God will show to me
We know Christ died to save us all
He loves us, both great and small
So the days go swiftly by with the tic toc
On the wall
Time races on, the night is gone
Night shades have passed away
My clock has stopped forever
At last we face that bright new day!
Hallelujah and Amen !
