Our Perfect Father
We shan't dream for perfect fathers
Nor ones we never had
But for the life God gave
We shall be so glad
For perfect fathers cannot be
In all they struggle through
Just as we face problems every day
In all there is to do
But we can be secure
In the Father's loving heart
The protection, comfort, joy
He perfectly imparts

Abide in Me: These words are the command of love,
which is ever only a promise in a different shape.
Think of this until all feeling of burden
and fear and despair pass away,
and the first thought that comes as you
hear of 'abiding in Jesus'
