When I needed the quiet, God drew me aside
Into His presence where we could confide.
I needed His guidance even though I rebelled,
Ever so gently my cross He upheld.
God whispered so quietly of spiritual things,
Soon my spirit grew stronger and took wings.
Away from my worries He took me that day,
I felt God's presence guiding me all the way.
God loved me so much He drew me away
To a beautiful valley with Him that day.
He has never failed to give me the very best.
God's quiet presence gives me peace and rest.
In God's presence I asked forgiveness of my sin,
I opened my heart and asked Him to come in.
Holding me close in His arms I am secure,
In God's quiet presence, I feel strong and sure.
