Sometimes the roads we travel upon
Leaves scars upon our feet
But each scar represents
An obstacle we did defeat.

Surmounting and overcoming them
May leave us tattered and bruised
But not trying at all
Will leave us lost and confused.

How many obstacles we encounter
Depends on the road we take
We're each given a choice
And this choice we have to make.

So we may wander around aimlessly
Until we reach a fork in the road
Hoping what we select next
Will somehow lighten our load.

Jesus has scars upon His hands and feet
Which represents the sins of all mankind
He chose this road to travel upon
So no soul would be left behind.

So don't complain about your rocky road
Continue on and do what is right
No obstacles are too big to surmount
Stay focused on the Lord's light.
