Silence of the Morn
I feel Your love for me
In this silence of the morn;
In the still beauty of the dawn,
My spirit is reborn.
Surely You are there
In the spreading of sun rays;
Surely You are there, Lord,
My heart You amaze.
You warm my heart
With light precious and pure;
You set my feet upon
A pathway perfect and sure.
With me always You are,
Your voice clear when I am still;
You embrace me with love,
You show me Your will.
My lips are Yours,
May they speak words You say;
My feet are Yours too,
Lead them on Your holy way.
Still often my thoughts
To be calm as the morning hour;
Lead me to stillness,
For there I feel Your power.
To be still, to be silent,
To hear God’s glorious voice,
Surely this gift from You
Makes my heart rejoice.
Yea, I feel Your love for me
In this silence of the morn;
You are the Sun of the dawn,
In You my spirit is reborn.
