Sho' I pray you the pleasures
O' Saint Patrick's this day
As I thank our dear Father
For your sweet gentle ways
Your soul e'er o'erflowin'
With ol' country charm
And friendship extended
By sweet lovin' arms
Just how you e'er are
Exhumes kindest of charm
In a pleasant routine
That's ever so calm.
With a hushed understandin'
Endurin' faith ever brave
You're such a delight
'Cause your smile never fades
The song in your heart
Like birds soarin' high
Abidin' in dark times
With prayer, though away
This day I'm sho' gladsome
For your good Irish ways
God bless you, then more
All your sweet livin' days

Poetry From The Heart
May the friendships you make,
be those which endure;
and all of your grey clouds
bring blessings for sure.
And trusting in Him,
to Whom we all pray;
May a song fill your heart,
every step of the way.
