Sweet Angel To Me
This morning as I awoke
I thought of you,
And prayed for God's love
To wrap around your heart
A joyous hope to see you through
I was thinking of all the special things
That cause me to love you so,
Your thoughtfulness
and gentle smile
The tenderness you show.
I thanked God he brought you into my life
To bless this heart of mine,
So I can return my love to you
A gift to last all time.
Then I asked Him to bless
Everyone I love,
Not just with never-ending sunny skies
But with eternal wonders seen beyond
Sent from His heart above.
I wondered about the day
And all that it may hold,
Then prayed for your heart to see
All the wonder you can know
To uplift your soul.
I prayed, Lord, pour the gift of Yourself
From Your abundant store,
Open the windows of heaven
And rain down Your eternal blessings
On all those who yearn for more.
