~The One I Know~
I needn't search among the hilltops, nor in the valleys green,
I needn't wander far and wide, nor look, but never see.
I need not ferret darkened caves,
nor woodlands, deep, unknown,
Traverse a barren desert
To find the One I know.

For He is here beside me, within me and before
Behind, above, surrounding, my Shepherd as my all.
My dear beloved Shepherd
I talk to through the day
I love with all my heart
Who takes the fear away.

He's with me in the sorrow and holds my trembling hand,
Assures me of His presence, to help me understand
That life is made for trials
to keep my eyes on His,
That if my face is turned to Him
I'll feel His tender kiss.

I cannot seek for comfort in things of earth I see,
For they are merely shadows, of the real that soon will be.
I am looking past the parchment
Beyond what I now view,
To gaze beyond the present
Concealing what is true.

And there I see the promise, of all my Shepherd is
Where I sit with Him in heaven
And all is perfect bliss.

Poetry from the Heart
But because of his great love for us,
God, who is rich in mercy
made us alive with Christ
even when we were dead in transgressions
it is by grace you have been saved.
And God raised us up with Christ
and seated us with Him in the
heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,
in order that in the coming ages
he might show the incomparable riches of his grace,
expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 2: 4-7
