I Prayed For You Today
I prayed for you today
That God would bless you
And keep you well
That He would shield you
From Satan's fiery darts of hell
I prayed that He would keep you secure
And in His will
That your needs would be met
And your hearts desire He would fill
I prayed that in His presence
You would remain
With the blessed comfort
Of Heaven to gain
I prayed, He would keep you safe
By His side, and oh yes
Clothed in the warm shield
Of His righteousness
I prayed that in all you say and do
For all your strength and courage
You would acknowledge
That He's the One
And let Him know
From whence it comes.
I prayed for you today
With all the love of my heart
Whatever she does
And wherever she goes
Father, bless her and keep her
As to You all
praise and honor she bestows.
